The process I think if they have no uptades for you requests then you can get ask them if they could escalate you application so you can have an accurate status of ur application *I Prosume*

I have also read that NICOP card and Protected paasport is mandatory for anyone from Pakistan who hold Work permit visa but dot not require for the Visit or settlement visa.
On the link provided above it does not say that NICOP is only manadatory for workpermit visa but it says that NICOP card is manadatory for anyone who have visa for any other country longer than 6 month.
Please comments/advice on this

Isn't it the case that you get an initial 3 months visa and get 30 months after arrival.

Nope you get 30-day vignette to arrive in the uk, More likely 3 weeks by the time you get passport back.

Can someone confirm their spouse has arrived without Nicop card?

Adnan bruv in sha Allah ur spouse will get visa, I prayed for you hope for best in this blessed month. Nothing stopping you to send the other docs to BHC by post, atleast you have tried I know some one did that last month via solicitor and got the visa. In sha Allah it will be good news.
