I'm now thinking I may as well apply for permanent residence as I have been employed in Australia for almost 6 years now on a 457 visa. I have done the points test and it looks like I might have enough. I have a brother here who is a resident for a few years now and will be able to sponsor me. Which way is faster/safer/better..thru the family sponsorship or thru skilled independent? or do i still get points if I apply as a skilled independent and have family here as well? thanks alot! loucas |
