Hi ya'll:
I'm a citizen of Europe who got married few years ago to an American citizen. We've been living in the US since then, and we filled all the forms to get my permanent residence. I got my green card recently (2months ago).

However me and my wife, are considering getting divorce for personal reasons. My question is: Is that a problem to start getting divorced now since i got my green card recently, and that may look suspicious to immigration? We don't want immigration to think that our wedding wasn't based in a sincer relationship, so my question is can we aplly for divorce now or it's better to wait a little longer just to don't become a suspicious issue to immigration.

Any comments would help a lot,
Thanks

Is your green card conditional (for 2 years) or not ?

That's the permanent one, which means you can freely divorce. At the time of citizenship application (if and when) they might question you as to why specifically the marriage didn't last, but in itself the fact of divorce doesn't create problems for you -- only if you through your own answers create an impression of impropriety. But even then, it can be fought and won.

All things being equal - the later, the better, but at this point do what you have to do.
