Re: Ukraine Conflict Advice

Many thanks for your replies.

Yes yesterday seemed a bit more optimistic with regards to ceasefire. Today however there are reports of more rebel troop and artillery build up in Bezimenne & Shyrokyne (just east of Mariupol).

We shall continue to monitor the situation and hope for the best!

Re: Ukraine Conflict Advice

There has not ever been any intention for her to settle in the UK. I don't think she would be very comfortable here at all as she doesn't speak English /different culture etc. She also has a loved one back home. She's here to see her daughter for the first time in 2 years and her newborn grandson ...

Ukraine Conflict Advice

Hello, My mother in law is currently visiting us in the UK on a family visit visa. She just arrived a few days ago. Her town of Mariupol is starting to heat up as has been reported in the UK media over the past few days. We are deeply concerned if the conflict spreads to her town while she is here ...

Re: 10 year family visit visa refused

Unfortunately so. :-( A very hard lesson learned! She has been issued 6 month visas no problem in the past and we sent in more or less the same documentary evidence as always. My mother-in-law will apply again this time for a 6 month visa. She will be submitting the following documentation. Please ...

Re: 10 year family visit visa refused

Apart from photographs over a period of time, is there any other evidence you suggest to prove a relationship? Unfortunately there are no letters in joint names or such like.

10 year family visit visa refused

we applied for a 10 year visitor visa for my mother-in-law who is based in Mariupol, Ukraine. Unfortunately the application was refused so as a result we are quite sorely out of pocket. We were particularly upset because our first child was born a couple of weeks ago and Grandma from Ukraine is ...

family visit visa - supporting documents

My mother in law is applying for a 10 year family visit visa. We are planning to send online printed bank statements to her to support her application. The guidance notes seem a little vague. Are online printed bank statements acceptable or must they be originals sent through the mail from the bank?

My wife and I are desperate to get her here as soon as possible for safety. We are also expecting our first child in 5 weeks ...
