Re: asylum fresh claim processing time

Hi everyone I am in the process of asking for asylum and I just want to know a few things. 1. I read that once you are an asylum seeker (i.e pending decision) and or a refugee, the Home Office can deny you the right to study. I'd like to know if it is still the case?? 2. Is it possible that the ...

Re: URGENT ADVICE NEEDED

I agree with pretty much what Jaune08 says. The problem with the medical settlement route is you must show that your are 100% dependant on your brother for care and that if you go back to Nigeria, he would be forced to go with you as no other family member could care for you (or the healthcare in ...

Re: Inivite friend to UK for a one week Trip

The property being in his name would help, but I dont think that will be enough. Having a wife and child on its own isnt enough either Being paid in cash is not itself a barrier, but he would need to show bank statements with the wage being deposited into the bank each month/week. If its just cash ...

Re: URGENT ADVICE NEEDED

You have had an Immigration Judge assess your medical claim and it was refused? What is new about your case? Or do you disagree with the Appeal?

Re: Inivite friend to UK for a one week Trip

Other factors that may play a part may include if he has been to the UK before (or made any previous applications?). Also, have you successfully sponsored anyone before. He doesnt seen to have any assets in home country (house in mothers name doesnt count as an asset). No real job/career and ...

Re: asylum fresh claim processing time

Yes contact your MP to have your case escalated. You should be given permission to work as you have been waiting a year and you can request your partner's documents back.

Asylum is not Article 8. Which form did you fill in?

Re: Mother's Visit Refused, 'visit her some other country'

Put simply, the ECO is not satisfied that your mother will leave at the end of the visa. The application has insufficient evidence to show she has incentives to return home (financial, assets, employment etc). You've made 3 applications, the first didn't show sufficient funds. The second tried to ...

Re: Settled status under EU rule

No, once you have your ILR status, you are settled and your residence in the UK is not dependant on any application for further leave. However, it can be revoked on criminality grounds but this would not count a dissolution of marriage, unless obtained through deception.
