Hello BMXer, This thread from start to finish includes EEA2 Residence Card information and it sidelines a little about EEA Family Permits, but mostly from my perspective as I started the thread a year ago. First comes the EEA Family Permit, then after your arrival into the UK you can apply for your ...

Oooh...and many thanks to the people who helped me as well. I can't forget that. Without their help, I wouldn't be able to get things done without their wisdom, but can now gladly pass on the info to others!

So, thanks to all that have contributed to this forum!

THANK YOU!!

Hello All...again! Just an update or rather completion! As of today, I have received my passport back along with some of the documentation sent into Home Office for my EEA2 application. No letter at all, just scrambled to look in my passport to ensure the Residence Card was in there..and it is! Phew ...

Hello All, Just an update. I followed Thsths's advice on calling in to retrieve my passport yet again. If anything, I wanted to see what would happen. I was shocked to actually get a phone call! Mind you, that Home Office has had my passport for doing the actual checks on my application, etc for 2 ...

Hello Gab, Well, sorry I didn't see your response until now. Sometimes I will get an email that tells me when a new post has come up. But I guess it's only to my direct message. Anyways, let me know if you need anything. But I only have experience pertaining to getting a EEA Family Permit in the USA ...

Hopefully the stamp in your passport doesn't effect anything. If your EEA2 is still in process, then you don't have a need to worry. Your leave to remain in the UK should be fine until the EEA2 is decided. But if you travel again outside of the UK, they will probably give you a hard time. First and ...

Hello All, I did get an answer from Home Office in Los Angeles, CA about if I were to apply for a new EEA Family Permit, that it would cancel my EEA2 application here in the UK. A supervisor there verified this, saying that if apply for another permit it will basically put me to square one and ...

Hello, I understand that the airlines want to play it safe, however it's not really their responsbility. I just booked a ticket today to travel on holiday to visit family. Here is what the disclaimer said, and what I was trying to say earlier: If your itinerary contains international flights, it is ...

Odd, I had no problems purchasing a 1 way ticket with Aer Lingus. I flew from Portland, Oregon to Los Angeles to Dublin and finally in Manchester! I didn't think it was up to the airlines to make an immigration officer's decision. As far as I know the airline has to sell you the ticket. As long as ...

Hello Plum, Thanks for your input! I am indeed an American married to an EU Citizen (Danish). I want to be sure that this is okay, as I don't want to come back to the UK and then they won't let me in. I wanted to make travel plans to visit my mom and family back in The States since I have time to do ...

Just wanted to update everyone on my EEA2. My husband and I moved recently, and we just got our internet back up from BT. It took them a month to get it figured out! Otherwise I would have responded sooner to some of the newer messages. Anyways, after trying to call the Home Office Customer Service ...

Tom thanks for your input! :D I have written to SolvIt, also sent in a formal complaint to Home Office Customer Service/Complaints Unit here in Manchester (where my husband and I live). I really got ticked off today. I'm just one of those people who don't like sitting around expecting it to get done ...

Thanks for the reply Directive! My husband and I filed an online complaint with SolvIt today! Hopefully he'll be contacted by the Danish SolvIt soon. I will also file a few other complaints with Home Office directly, but doubt it will do any good. However, it shows that we have gone above and beyond ...

EEA1/EEA2 Delays - April 08 Applications

Not that this is anything new. I mean delays with applications. Just wanted to put a post up that my husband and I sent in our joint applicaitons to Liverpool on 15 April 2008, and we still have not received our COA letters. I have called three times, and each time a different response. I ...

Swish, Did you ever get your COA from Home Office? If so, could you post when you sent it in and when you finally received the COA? This would help me out, as I sent in my husband's EEA1 along with my EEA2 jointly to hopefully speed up the process. It will be 3 weeks this week, so I am hoping that ...

Thanks for the information Yankeegirl! It is much appreciated. It's just nice to get a confirmation of the process. I called the Liverpool office today. Naturally on hold for about 20 minutes to get an answer. However, I am a US Citizen, my husband is Danish. He has a permanent job here in the UK and I currently have an EEA Family Permit. I arrived in early January 2008. With that being said, my EEA Family Permit ...
