Does anyone know what would satisfy the IO that you are actually returning to your spouse back home. Would a signed letter with dates etc be enough? Does anyone have a link or more information on this?

So am I correct in saying that there is no way of obtaining a schengen visa with your residence card on an immigration paper? Why is this, do embassy's not consider this a valid form of visa or is it that they just refuse to stamp it?

Now that you put it like that I don't think there should be any reason why they would not grant me a residence card as everything from our side is legitimate and in order.
