Hello gainvidya,
This provision is Northern Ireland residents only. With every application (be it for Indian visa or PIO or OCI), you need to provide proof of residency in Northern Ireland.
Northern Ireland residents can send the application by post as well.
Hello Folks, If you live in Northern Ireland, you can apply at Indian Embassy, Dublin as well. I came to know of this fact very recently and have used this embassy for my OCI and my son's PIO. The processing times are quicker compare to those of embassies in UK. The other major advantage is that you ...

I was in similar situation. My son was born in March, 2008. I got his passport in April, 2008 and included him in my ILR application in june,2008.
It all went fine. Please make sure you include long birth certificate that shows parents names.
Hello strongbow, Please go through the replies from JAJ in this topic. JAJ has given the links to application form & the address to post to. I'm not sure how long it takes to get ROI passport, but I guess it should take less time than what it takes to obtain the certificate. I have heard that some ...

Hello Mama, I think the letter you got from your employer should be sufficient. Here is the format of the letter that I got from my employer. Thanks JAJ. You read my mind there. I was wondering which one to apply first. I do need a visa to travel to Ireland. But I'll check dfa.ie and other sites to find whether I could appear in person to make the application in Dublin. Thanks for advice on originals. They are important as I may need them ...
Thank you joesoap101. Thats very encouraging piece of info. I was confused by the following quoted on http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/2004/en/act/pub/0038/sec0004.html ----BEGIN QUOTE------ (5) A period of residence in Northern Ireland shall not be reckonable for the purposes of calculating a period ...
Hello sharkish, They told me that my wife needed to attend along with me, but NOT my little son. Since my son was too young to be left with others, we took him to the PEO. Hello Folks, I worked in Dublin for about 2 years and then moved to Belfast and have been working in Belfast for about 5 years. I have just got ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain) in UK. My son was born in Belfast about 2 months ago, but I didn't have ILR when he was born. My wife and I are non-EU ...

Hello Folks, I'm completing 5 years of residence (on workpermit + hsmp) in UK this July. However, most of ...
Thank you folks for your attempts to help me. Despite best attempts from my company, we couldn't find my train ticket. However, I got copies of payslips of my first 6 months in UK from my company. And ofcourse, a letter from them confirming the date of entry. This is the best I could do/get at this ...
Thanks for the reply. I'm not quite sure what CTA is. I had work visa for Republic of Ireland (only) before coming to UK. Then I moved to UK on a separate workpermit (ofcourse, I had visa to enter UK based on the workpermit). The visa I had for Ireland has nothing to do with the workpermit that my ...
Hello Folks, I got one of other queries clarified in this forum. I hope to get this one too sorted out. I came to UK(Belfast, Northern Ireland) from Dublin. Thank you try-one. It seems clear about one missing payslip. However, the other question was more about whether the redundancy payment from Department of Employment and Learning would be considered as using "public funds"? I have searched net for the list of benefits that are considered to come from ...
