You submitted in 2007 and only got a RC in 2009? When did you submit in 2007? You have been living together since 2005. Based on what you have said and what others in this thread have done, I would be tempted, if I were in your situation, to submit an application for PR now and see how it goes. Yes ...

Hi guys, I have a twist to this situation, supposing like me, I applied as unmarried partner of an EEA citizen in 2007 but we've been living together since 2005 and have a baby born to us in 2006 and during the time of waiting for an answer we got married (2008) and submitted our marriage ...

If wife is naturalised, then wife's exercising Free movement rights has already been established. I think that it could be argued that this is also an exception.
Vinny, can this be applicapable to my case as well. Thanks.

Actually, now I come to think that your case is more complex than I initially thought. Why? Because your wife is now British and so you are a spouse of a British citizen which may override residency rights of a spouse of an EU citizen (in this case, Latvia). When you will ask for confirmation of ...

Enny07 - Your situation or the situation you're describing is not completely clear to me. Hi Backer, Thanks for the reponse. I initially applied for RC as an unmarried partner in June 2007 having been with my then partner (now my wife) since 2005 and having a baby born in 2006. Although I have ...

Once you have PR and assuming your wife is British you can immidietly apply for BC assuming you lived in the country for at least 3 years instead of waiting another 12 months in the case your wife is not British (so the total time goes down from 5+1 to 5 only) Hi there, Does it matter if one's ...

Looking through the EEA4 form, I see that I have to submitt her passport as one of the requirements. Is it then acceptable to submitt her British PP or just her permanent residence card will suffice?

Has any one got any sort of experience in this matter???

Read the ECIS , Chapter 3 and 5 about dependency. The topic has also been discussed in this forum on numerous occasions. The term 'sponsor' does actually not exist within an EEA context. The rights are derived through family relationship. Thanks 86ti for the reply. The reason am asking is that on ...

EEA Family permit Help???

Hello there,

I am a non EEA spouse of an EEA national with RC. I would like my brother (non EEA) to join me in the uk.

My question is, if he is to apply for the EEA family permit, will I be his sponsor or my wife?

Thanks a lot. Cheers

Hello everyone, I must say a big thank you to everyone that has replied to my post. I must confess that the EC law is not really clear on this matter and would welcome any more suggestions on these and also personal experiences. @Plum70, my wife still has her Latvian citizenship which she would like ...
