Thanks, still waiting for RC so might have to give it a go, will call Air Baltic. If not she will fly to Brussels and I will pick her up in car and drive Calais with Marriage cert, CoA etc. I know they have to let us back in if we do that route. Will post our experience in due course
My wife received her CoA with right to work dated 28th October, based on current timelines I expect/hope to receive her RC in a week or 2. She is currently out of the country and planning to return around 19th Jan. I am wondering whether it is possible to enter UK with just her CoA and marriage cert ...
I can't answer about the FBR / passport issues but definitely no problem getting the EEA FP using this route, we have done it 3 times before finally applying for residence card.
You can still stay in UK after expiry of Family Permit; it's just an entry visa. You have the right to be in the UK as a spouse of an EEA national. If you leave the UK you will need another EEA FO to re-enter.
I renounced my British Citizenship to bring my non EU spouse into the UK using my Irish citizenship. It took 6 weeks for them to process and cost £250. HTH
I have just submitted EEA FP applications for my spouse and 2 month old daughter. I booked a biometric appointment for my wife but at the end of the application process for my baby daughter, I didn't get an appointment booking screen. I tried logging out and logging in again and just got the page ...
The UKBA website give a very long list of documents to support applications like this; totally over the top IMO. I have my own company and gave them; Copy of company corporation tax return Copy of company P35 (PAYE annual return) Letter on company letterhead confirming employment signed by company ...
here is a slightly edited version of what we used: Dear Sir or Madam Re: EEA Family Permit application GWF123456 I am now applying under EU Directive 2004/38/EC as the family member of an EEA national. I enclose the following documents to demonstrate that we qualify for a EEA Family Permit ...
Well this works. I sent in the form (RN1) and £250 to renounce my British Citizenship on 11th December 2012 and received confirmation from the Home Office on 25th January. EEA FP application submitted in Riga, Latvia on 19th Feb with brief evidence of exercising treaty rights in UK, marriage cert ...
I am Irish having renounced my british citizenship. I was thinking of applying in Latvia, letting them know the proposed travel dates and mentioning in the covering letter that they seem to be taking longer than required - but I have little confidence in UKBA Warsaw (where they are proceessed) Yes ...
Is it correct that EEA FP applications don't have to be made from the applicants country of origin? My wife needs to travel to the UK in March and is resident in Latvia (non Citizen). From the UKBA website I see that no applications are dealt with in 2 weeks and only 52% in 3 weeks, the remainder ...
Thanks, you are right it would be no help if they take 6 months to process renounciation.
Having discussed further my wife is prepared to wait 6 months in UK if need be so we will prob stick with FLR (M) route - have been advised on family forum that we have 28days grace after expiry of Fiance Visa
My Wife's fiance visa expired on 9th September, there were problems getting married due to the register office not recognizing her nationality which meant we couldn't get a premium appointment before her visa expired. We wrote to our MP to see if he could help get them to make an appointment ...
As far as I can tell an Irish citizen has all the rights of a UK citizen in the UK and this pre dates the EU, arising out of the partition of Ireland in 1926. There is a fee of £250 and form to send in to renounce citizenship. They do not quote timescales but I would imagine there is less of a queue ...
