Re: English Test for Naturalisation

You are expected to provide a certificate or a reference number at a minimum. If you can't, you may be asked while your application is being processed to sit for the test. That is completely fine, if during the application they want me to sit the test again I could do it and provide them the copy. ...

Re: English Test for Naturalisation

Can’t really advise on how you prove your 2016 test. Did you keep a copy of your application-it was on paper in those days. There’s no cheap way to do a test, it’s £150 for a spoken test 10 minutes. It’s B1 Gese 5 level. Google trinity college London. Test must be taken at Home Office approved cent...

English Test for Naturalisation

Hello, The guidance says I don't have to prove knowledge of english language, if I have provided evidence of it already during my ILR application. I had provided proof for it during my ILR application in 2016, but the application is requesting me to upload a copy of the certificate (which I unfortun...

Citizenship with lost passport

Hello, I’ve been holding an ILR since 2017, and my passport held until 2024 was lost. I have a police report, and a replacement passport. I’ve recently travelled back to UK from a holiday, the immigration officers didn’t care and just stamped my passport as usual. I’m in the midst of applying for ci...

Re: Entrepreneur-New Guidance-HO-Challenge-ILR-Accelerate Ro

Has anyone considered Richmond Chambers? I have spoken to them, and waiting to hear back. Their website, states this as a 'success' story; We assisted our client, a national of Jordan, to apply for accelerated settlement as a Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) migrant. We were able to persuade the Home Office th...

Re: HO Accelerated Route Victim ( Definite JR Case )

I wanted to discuss the similarity of my case with the OP.

Since, we had applied before the new rules and 'clarifications' were announced... we should technically be treated as applicants according to the previous rules and guidance.

Re: ILR refused for T1E

This is a clarification about (erstwhile hidden / not publicly disclosed or perhaps even a change in) intention not a change in immigration rules, so will not see a mention in "statement of changes to the immigration rules". The argument can be that how can a Tier 1 E migrant imagine a hi...

Re: Return of passport

Thank you very much, Vinny.

My caseworker read the guidance, and is sending back my passport today via recorded delivery.

I have been told to return my passport back before the expiry of the visa.

Much appreciated :D

Has anyone requested the Return of their passport for Identification purposes? I have a few questions if anyone has any information. How long did it take to get to you? HO stipulates 10 days, I need it in exactly that amount of time. Did you receive an communication before it was returned? Do you t...

Re: Return of passport

No, there isn't. You should have applied in person then if you thought you might need your passport. I had applied using the postal method, because the PEO method wasn't available to Entrepreneur visa holders. The Home office return of documents page states that passport can be returned for identif...

Return of passport

hello, I had applied for ILR on the 17th of March, and have requested my passport on the 05th of May. HO emailed me asking the reason, I explained that the bank needs it as an ID to open a new business account and I also need it for an exam I'm sitting for in 3 weeks. I did not get a reply to my ema...
