Just to complete my wife's story. BRP arrived today, so lots of job applications and celebrations to come.

I hope that everyone else's applications come to a conclusion soon!

Well, got home today, and there was a package that my wife had signed for. Turns out it was all the docs returned and the covering letter says a 30 month visa and up to 10 days for the BRP. I shall update the Skydrive with the details. Best of luck to all for getting a result in the next few weeks!

what im actually worried about is the psychological effect this could have on some people. I mean not having a job for 9 months, just sitting at home not knowing whether you'd be able to live with your partner or not.
