I am applying for the naturalisation (5 yrs WP + T2 + 1 yr ILR). I also need to book flight for travel abroad after 3 months (Nov 2012). While I am unsure of the dates for the naturalisation being approved, ceremony and passport, in case I receive the naturalisation certificate before I travel abroad,

1. Can I still travel on the my current non-UK passport and ILR
2. If so, can I postpone the ceremony and UK passport applications?

1. See traveling after getting BC.

2. You have 3 months to attend a ceremony. Applying for a passport is optional.

Just realised that you asked about travel before the ceremony, in that case you are not BC yet and should have no issue to use your current passport.
