It has been three(its only 3 but still ) working days the application ?

I have given the barclays debit card details ? have seen some on here got the payment debited same day.

I heard they have closed a phone service too, is that correct ??

Should have used a cheque am thinking in the hindsight !

Don't worry, as you say it's only 3 days. Mine took 4 or 5 days. I certainly saw cases on the timelines thread taking more than a week for payment to go through.

You do not need to worry at all. Mine took 17 days before they deduct the fee.. Cheer up it is only 3 days.

thanks goodness !!
Fee has been debited today.

Many thanks to my mates on this forum, emmigrator123, mkhan84 and Mel (Mel2012)

I also confirm the barclays debit card works.

Please tick 'Visa' while filling the fee leaflet better still write (barlcays visa debit card somewhere)

If I have to pay ever, again, I will write a cheque, as i had the chequebook with me, but ncs lady suggested use a card.

Now will you begin to worry about not receiving your acknowledgment letter? It will be there in a few more days, or weeks.

After that, approval letters... with documents... followed by actual certificates.

Happy waiting..

ha ha !! Thanks wpl...

I have seen the difference between 'cleared' and last night balance of exactly £851, i thought it must be home office taking money of account!!

But the payment is still not showing in the transaction. It has been 24 hours the home office havent taken away the money, but it look like 'it has been earmarked by them.

or have i celebrated too early :(

Banks normally take a day or two to show the transaction on your statement.

Thanks vinitmanu !! Yes you are right :)

Now the transaction line shows in the statement

'NATIONALITY DIRECT' £851.0

This is how it appears now other can inform there banks not block a payment when it comes from 'NATIONALITY DIRECT'

I was expecting UKBA or Home office or say even 'nationality directorate'

True !! It could easily have been

if !!strcmp('nationality directorate', 'NATIONALITY DIRECT')
{
call_delay_n_bigdelay();
return application(now);
}

Hello All

I applied through NCS Slough on 29th Jan, Application delivered on 31st Jan Morning but no money deducted yet. Checked with my bank, they said no attempt have been made as of this morning so basically UKBA have not done anything with my application. Getting biit worried as almost everyone on this forum who submitted around 31st January have got their fee taken by UKBA.

Thanks
Worried Applicant

I know what waiting is all about, I applied back in October and I am still waiting to hear from UKBA :( (fees were taken within 5 days)

Here is a similar recent example of a poor guy who waited 4 weeks for his fees to be taken out

Just to put things in perspective, I applied on 3rd January and fees weren't debited until 1st February! The UKBA obviously have no order to how they process apllications, my best guess is that mine arrived on 4th Jan when they were not really back to work properly after the break and somehow got put at the bottom of a very large pile.
Just to stress me a bit more, the Royal Mail tracking system didn't work and showed that the application hadn't been delivered! Fortunately NCS were quite helpful and phoned UKBA on my behalf a couple of weeks in and they confirmed it had arrrived.

Did NCS give you a tracking number?
