Parents date of marriage on passport application

I don't know my parents date of marriage ?? Can I leave that blank for the first passport application firm following naturalisation ??
It would be helpful for me to know as well as I have doubts that i'd be able to complete this field in the near future.
I reason that the parents' details are only required for applications other than through naturalisation. I may be wrong...
