NCS Date of application

Technically, the date of application is the date when home office receives the application. Does that mean I can submit the application to NCS on a date when I was not in the country 5 yrs back. Suppose the first date after completion of my ILR is 15 October 2015. Can I have an appointment on 14th October 2015?

I had been traveling extensively about 5 years back and had limited presence in the country and have long gaps with only a few days presence in UK.

Thanks!

Date of application is the date you apply through NCS.

Section 3.2 of the link vinny posted
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... r_18_B.pdf seems to indicate that I may apply on 14th October 2015, if I was physically present in the country on 15 October 2010.

Could someone please confirm this? Many Thanks!

Spikey, I believe it is the day Home office receives it. It is confusing but everyone on the forum has confirmed this.

My NCS held my application back. I'd booked the appointment with them on a day I'd been in the country, but they said that if they posted it and it arrived at HO on a day I hadn't been in, the application would be void.

So yes, it's the day the HO receive the application, not the day you do the checking service

Hi Everyone,

I just read that now days of application with NCS is considered to be the date of receipt. Is this correct?

Could someone please post a link where I can find the information?

Many Thanks,
Ashwini

It is the date that HO received it.

Also please be aware that if HI receive your application on a Friday, they won't touch it until the following Monday.

In response to an email, they received my husbands application on the 15th June which was a Monday even though the postal tracking said they received in on the 12th June ( the Friday before)

There was a recent post which says otherwise
Today, I called NCS Ayelsbury and they advised me that recently home office has changed the policy for NCS applicants and now the effective date of application will be ncs appointment date and not when the home office received the application.
Link enclosedhttp://www.immigrationboards.com/britis ... 97002.html

I would like to confirm as it changes the date I can apply with NCS.

I would like to confirm as it changes the date I can apply with NCS.
I booked my NCS appointment at Hammersmith & Fulham Council last month for 11th January 2016. My ILR date on BRP is 11th January 2015. Now I read on a new AN form (28th Oct version) that the date of NCS appointment would be considered as a date of application receipt by HO.

Would that be a problem or shall I reschedule my NCS appointment date to the next available date i.e. on 12 January 2016?

Apologise if that sounds a stupid question ?

Areal, you know you don't have to use the NCS nearest to you.
It may be worth trying a different NCS a few miles out if you don't mind to travel a little to get an earlier appointment..

I know and that's why I booked my NCS appointment nearest to my work place rather than home.
However, Do you think my 1 year of ILR will be completed on the date of my NCS appointment i.e. on 11th Jan 2016?

In which case you should be clear to submit your application on 11th Jan 2016
