I applied for naturalisation to become a british citizen and is in process right now. (My mum said that a response would come probably around December since i applied around August/Sept). I was wondering if I'm allowed to travel for 3 days in January for a University Trip with my old passport (Filipino) and just apply for a visa to travel to Paris. I have to decide by the end of November whether I'm coming or not, It'll be a shame is i couldn't because it would be part of the module but i didn't want anything to affect my application from being rejected.

Traveling on your existing passport should not cause issues with your application as long as you have the passport with you already. As its only 3 days I can't even see that being a problem should the home office want to contact you regarding your application via letter.
