Hi everyone
I sent an application for British naturalisation 3 days ago but read this morning in this forum that I have to be discharge bankruptcy for 10 years before they can consider my application. is that true? ?due to poor mental health I declared bankruptcy in 2008 but was discharged a few months after. At the moment I'm OK with my finances apart y phone bill..will I have a problem here? ??I've been in England for the past 23 years. I have a permanent residence card .got it 12 months ago. anyone can help me out? ??
Thank you all

This is not strictly the case. It depends on the circumstances

See HO guidance on this complex matter:
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... _D_v02.pdf
- for example, see section 6.1.3 on how such cases are decided
