Hello all,

I have just realised after reading in the forum that I forgot to declare a parking ticket from May 2014.
I paid the fine to the Council the same day I received the parking ticket, and admittedly simply forgot about it until today.

In the application guidelines it states that:
"Fixed penalty notices (such as speeding or parking tickets) must be disclosed, although will not normally be taken into account [...]"

What is your advice on how to proceed? Should I contact the Home Office and declare it belatedly?

U should inform home office about any fixed penalties
The problem u applied in October Nd I racen ur application in the final step
I guess u should send the letter and inform them asap

If the ticket was issued by the council, wouldn't it be a PCN rather than a FPN?

3.1 – 3.2 You must give details of all criminal convictions both within and outside the
United Kingdom. These include road traffic offences. Fixed penalty notices (such as
speeding or parking tickets) must be disclosed, although will not normally be taken
into account unless:
• you have failed to pay and there were criminal proceedings as a result; or
• you have received numerous fixed penalty notices.

I think it should be PCN and not FPN.

@newbie0203: Sorry? You agree that FPN has to be delcared. A PCN (i.e. my ticket) does not have to be declared?

@all: I do apologise, my head is mush and my nerves are a bit on edge.

IMHO you dont need to declare Penalty CHarge Notice which is surely different than Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN).

My friend had a doubt about bailiffs .
When a bailiff hands u the notice is it FNP or pcn ,and if u pay it ,is it all good rite ?he had a problem with the bailiff around 2 years ago.will it effect his naturalisation in future and should he be bothered about it ?

I think u should recieve the outcome soon as u applied in October Nd September application already finished last week

You wont have any problem. I have parked on a single yellow line and fined by the council parking attendant. I have payed the next day. These are not Fixed penality notices but PCN's: https://hounslow.paypcn.com/default.aspx. These are parking fines which doesnt affect your application. I havent declared mine and recieved approval with no issues.

Do not lose your sleep over it. I had the same situation and my application was approved with no issues. Good luck
