Hi All,
I am eligible for Naturalization through ILR(5 years Tier 2) + 1 year
When I am filling new application form (Feb 2018), there is a section called
SECTION 10 Evidence of National Insurance contributions covering the relevant period: • payslips • P60’s • letter or letters from your employer or employers confirming you have worked in their employment including start and finish dates

For evidence, i have to submit all 6 year proofs or last year proof. If any one submit after Feb 2018 .. please help me what all documents are submitted for National insurance contribution .

Thanks in advance.

You must submit all evidence for the period as requested by the AN application, either five or 10 years. Simplest would be letter(s) from employer(s). What is the significance of submitting after Feb 2018? The requirement hasn't changed for years.

This is strange:

1. When applying online - they print a checklist for you - Payslips, P60 etc is NOT on that checklist.

2. I applied last week via NDRS - Maidenhead council, and my friend applied 2 weeks back via NCS - Reading council - and BOTH registrars did not take my Payslips, P60 - or any financial related documents for that matter - they said Naturalisation is proof of your residency & not your Income. FYI my friend & I both chose Employed & Director (as we are contractors) on the question when asked about Employment.

So why would the Online checklist - which I am assuming checks your application and then prints a relevant checklist for you - does NOT have any financial proof requirement, but Paper form does? - I guess the paper form is generic to all & wide variety of applicants.

I guess you should go for Online with NDRS + JCAP - as then you will get a proper checklist printed for you,
If you go for paper form with NCS - almost all councils are not doing JCAP with NCS now anyways, so in my opinions Online with NDRS + JCAP is better.

Regards,
Kyborg

I'd also love clarification around this.

As a Permanent Resident, haven't I already proven that I've been in the country for the requisite amount of time?

Why the need to supply letters from employers?

In the Supporting Documents notes at the end of Form AN it states that EITHER passports OR letters from employers should be supplied:
SECTION 3 Evidence of lawful residence during the 5 (or, if the applicant is married or in
civil partnership to a British citizen, 3) years before the date of the application: required for applications made on the basis of residence in the United Kingdom: required for all applicants, either:

your passports
letters from employers, educational establishments or other Government Departments indicating presence in UK
Then there's this:
SECTION 10 Evidence of National Insurance contributions covering the relevant period:

payslips

P60’s

letter or letters from your employer or employers confirming you have worked in their employment including start and finish dates
However when completing the form online the checklist says:
Proof of living in the UK
If you are an EEA National, you need to include letters from employers, educational establishments, or other Government Departments indicating your presence in the United Kingdom during the relevant period.

Very confusing
