Posting on behalf of someone

Got ILR 3 years back, about 2 years back I was going through a rough patch and got divorced. My debt i.e.
- credit card bills
- personal loan payments
- car loan
- council tax bills
- Utility bills
- even TV Lic

started to build up and was behind payment on all of them.

I arranged some money and First payed off my pending council bills, TV Lic and Utility bills via a directly agreed payment plan within 6 months - last payment plan cleared about 9 months back. Have not defaulted a payment in last 2 years.

Before agreeing payment plan, Council threatened to go to court - even sent me court notice, I called and arranged this payment plan and they retracted my case - so no hearing took place. I did not get anything direct from court. Is this CCJ?

As per credit card bills, personal loan and car loan payments - have agreed on payment plan via a debt agency 2 yrs back and have been paying in time since last 2 years.

Have not defaulted a payment in last 2 years.

So in summary - a lot of payments backlog about 3 years back for about 12 months, then agreed on payment plan and have been paying since last 2 years. Apart from council, did not get a court threatening letter from anyone - but they retracted the case after agreeing payment plan.

NO CCJs or bankruptcies.

I know I can apply - but should I apply please?

Thanks

Have you checked your or someone's credit reference file?
Data is collected by various credit reference agencies and UKVI is reputed to use that information for their own purposes. The statutory files can be requested for a small fee from those agencies.
Perhaps the person should consider what their priorities are. The application is expensive - he or she has ILR so is secure in this country. I am not judging the person - just being practical.
