UKVI guidance has been released today and the UKF applications (children born post 2006 to an unmarried British father) are no longer free. In fact they are an astonishing £1012. Also there is now a requirement for the British father to have lived in the UK for 3 years and have got his citizenship from his mother or father i.e. the British parent relied upon CANNOT have naturalised.

You are entirely incorrect in your assumption and you appear to be confusing a completely different route and application process of registration. Nothing has changed regarding form UKF registration.

Where exactly are you getting this information from?? Useful to post the link that you claim is stating this.

Page 7 of the Form UKF guidance still lists "Your father’s certificate of naturalisation or registration as a British citizen or as a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies (or, before 1 January 1949, as a British subject)" as proof that can be submitted for that application.

Those are the requirements for registration on Form MN1 and under Section 3(2), not for Form UKF.

As CR001 has asked, where are you getting your information from?
