Hi,

Does anyone know the contact details of the UKBA person/team (apart from the general queries telephone) who can clarify & confirm UKBA's interpretation of an immigration policy (specifically, related to Tier-1 dependents' ILR application)?

Thanks.

You have the one and only number for general enquiries. This forum will also clarify your immigration questions.

Note that even if you get a response, more often than not you will get one person's interpretation, rather than that of the entire agency. Asking your question here may give you a wealth of information with regards to how certain rules were interpreted in the past (much more valuable than getting the opinion from someone at the UKBA who doesn't deal with real cases).

I agree freedom of information is the best place to start....

You may want to try whatdotheyknow.com this is an open site where you can raise a question to ukba or any organisation and response is visible to everyone...

I have already raised a few questions on here, my latest one can be accessed here....

ughosal, if you post the nature of your query, it might be the case that someone can point you towards a relevant published UKBA staff guidance document.

I would be amazed if your query was unique.
