Afternoon Every one

I m been living in the UK since Dec 2003 (legally) - currently i m on Tier 1 & my extension is due in May 2013 & the visa will be extended for another 2 yrs however my 10yrs Long residency is going to be completed in dec 2013.

My question is

I have 3 kids - all UK Born, should i apply for their extension in May 2013 ? coz what i m thinking is ... i just apply for Tier 1 extension for my self & for my wife & leave the kids & in dec 2013 i apply for my ILR & once i get it, then my kids will be eligible for neutralization

All i want to know is there any issue, if i don't apply extension for my kids ?

Will they become illegal ?

Please advise

thanks in advance

regards
