Friends,

I got Tier1 (General) visa in Jan 2009, after got visa my company in India have sent me to UK and I have worked with same company for a year then I moved out now working as self-contractor since April 2010.

I have copy of P60 during this period 2009/10 but it has no NI number mentioned in that and my name was not correct. I have called HMRC they said no employment history record during this period.

In this forum many people are saying need to be carry all five years P60 during ILR, but my first year, I have copy of P60 but it has incorrect name (my middle name is used as last name) and it has no NI Number.

Is it fine if I carry the existing copy of P60 as proof of first year (yr. 2009/10) or do I need any letter from HMRC?

Thanks,

Hi All
I am due to apply for ILR under TIER 2 General in a few days time. I have read through the SET(O) form and other guidelines and information on the UKBA website, but nowhere does it state that I need to present my P60. All they have asked for is last 1 month pay slip to confirm rate of pay meets the CoP guidelines.

So do I need to dig up my previous P60s or will payslips do? I have 2 employers in the past 5 years, so would I need to P60s for all 5 years?

A quick answer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Produce at least 3 pay slips . P60 isn't required but sometime CW can ask for it. It depends on CW . One can argue that it isn't mentioned for Tier 2 route.
However carrying additional supporting documents reduces the chance of putting your application on hold as you can produce it then and there if required.

Many thanks for the reply. I will submit 3 months payslips + 3 mnths bank statements, but in addition carry with me:

1) Additional payslips - for another 3 months
2) Bank statements - for another 3 months
3) P60 - for the last 3 years under covering period with current employer (not sure if I have previous ones).

Do you think this should be enough?

Thanks again.

Sudarsanam, That seems like enough. I don't think you need P60s but the form typically (depending on application type) asks for proof that you were working, so bringing any P60s you have would be ideal for showing that you worked in the last 5 years.
