Hi,
My husband has to apply for ILR on 10-year long residence. He came as a student here.
Now in ILR(LR) form one question on page 10 is
D9. Have you ever worked in the United Kingdom without immigration permission to do so (that is, contrary to your conditions of stay)?
Answer should be in Yes or No (reasons)

What answer should we tick coz he sometimes did more than 20 hours in the first 3-4 years but not after that.

Please share your experiences as well.
Thanks

The only answer that can be given is that the answers should be honest. Remember that the UKVI/Home Office could use evidence you submit against you.

Could there be any problem if we say "yes" to the question.

I suggest you read the general grounds for refusal. one would hypothesise that it would be highly unlikely that the UKVI would find out that someone did slightly extra work many years ago, unless informed or the person was caught working by the UKVI.

General expiation of this question is, have you work illegally say you are a student can work 20 hours but you work more?
