Could you tell me what documents will be required for 10 (LR) application? I do have my passports. Do i need anything else?

many thanks for your reply. Another question, I been to Germany last year for one week, when i entered Germany at Germany Airport they forgot to stamp my passport for entering Germany, however i have got Germany Exit stamp. Do u think missing Germany entering stamp will be problem?

I thought p60 for all years of employment is mandatory to provide?

i read ukba guideline, there i read: if one attached all passports, then nothing else is required.
however, my personal view is, that if one send in P60s, bank statements, cover letter (specialty if one has any traffic convictions, gaps, ccj, etc etc ) than it will be helpful. Not disclosing any conviction or offence is an offence in ukba dictionary and would/could jeopardize one's future.

Hi all,
On the 10 year long residence form SET(lr), it asks for your current address and after that it says, if you have lived at this address for less than five years please give your previous address(not addresses).
Than there is space for one previous address.

I have seen another form on which two years address is required and it clearly states that if you have lived at this address for less than 2 years please give your previous ADDRESSES for the last 2 years.
Than there is space for two addresses and after that it states that attach a separate sheet if you require more space.

The confusion is do you have to give only current and previous address or you have to give all your addresses for the last five years.

Really appreciate if someone can help.

I need advice regarding ILR based on 10 years. 5 years student, 2 years PSW and 3 years Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa. What documents should i submit along with my 10 years application? do i need to submit my business documents?

You only need to submit :

Current and all passports covering the 10 years
BRP (if you have one)
LIUK
Proof of English Language level B1

Now in my case, i am only allowed to work for my own business according to conditions of my visa so i was taking salary from my company using national insurance. Now when case worker will search my national insurance to see my employment history he will be able to see it. I am just wondering it might confuse him, as how he will know its my own company? However when i applied initally for Tier 1 visa i did submitted my company documents so they should have it on file. any suggestions?

Set(LR) is based on residence, not on employment. Besides, they have access to all your information across all the relevant authorities.

Being employed is not a prerequisite for SET(LR). Although, if breach of immigration rules is suspected then they may dealve deeper.

Someone told me that 10 year residency ILR law is part of european law. Is it true? or is it UK law thanks

ILR based on 10 years of long residence is normally issued under Uk Immigration act 1971 and the time spent under EU route is also counted as long as the EU national is a qualified person. Whereas PR equivalent to ILR is normally be issued under EU directive 2004 which won't count the time spent under Uk immigration law.

Well they did change 14 years long residence, and people thought that was too under ECHR.

Think twice if you want to waste your further preceious life time here as I did.

The authorities always try to remove such category which people abuse a lot which was 14 years old ilr route but in case of 10 years legal stay route all the record they usually have. But if the remaining time to reach 10 years is few more years than spending same time & money in some other country is more wise where settlement is easier.

I am going to apply for ILR soon based on 10 year legal stay. But just noticed when I visited Germany in 2011 my Germany entry stamp is missing. And when I came back to UK immigration officer did entry stamp on my old passport by mistake. Could you please advise if there will be any issue? Also I have ticket of that flight. Thanks

No, it won't cause a problem. German passport control didn't stamp me in to Germany either in 2011, but I did get a couple of questions while leaving Germany. There were no problems when I extended my T1G in 2012. When I went to Gran Canaria last year, the Spanish didn't stamp me out. I've been through the UK and Schengen borders a dozen times since then with no problems. The UKBA will have a record of all your air travel in their computer, so just be clear on your absence dates in section 6. They can't refuse you for a German border guard's mistake.

Thanks for your reply. Yes when i left Germany the immigration officer asked me questions as well regarding missing entry stamp. and after that i did get extensions easily. Just was little worry as on 10 years ILR applications they might check all stamps to verify my stay in UK. However i do have electronic boarding pass and tickets.

Don't worry , I have missed one entry stamp on my passport (Jan2014 arrival Uk) , went for ILR on 16/may/2015 , got ILR without any issues , I didn't mention anything on cover letter or application about missing stamp.
Just to make you feel tension free on this .
