Dear members
I would like to pay my regards to group members for their selfless service. I had an appointment on 10th Feb 2014 for my ILR application at PEO Croydon. I was on Tier-1(General) visa for whole qualifying period and entered UK within 90 days of stamping of visa.
Last time when I had visited in 2012 to PEO Croyodon, experience was not good with infrastructure. This time experience was amazing. Whole office has been renovated(specially 3rd floor).
I had applied for ILR along with my spouse and a baby born in UK. I provided following set of documents :-
1) Set (O) form
2) Trinity GESE Grade 5 for myself and my spouse
3)Life In UK test result for both
4) 12 months salary slip
5) 12 months bank statements
6) Cohabitation doc (council tax,BT Bill, HSBC bank statement, marriage certificate)
7) Birth certificate of baby born in UK

As far as Cohab docs are concerned, you need to show for last 2 years(since you got your extension). It should be from 3 different sources. I provided 7 joint letters for last 2 years which were on my name and my spouse name. Ideally there should be 1 joint letter for each 4 months.
If you don't have joint letters then you can produce 6 individual letters for last 2 years also.

1) I submitted marriage certificate to establish cohabitation.
2) If you are applying on Tier-1(general) then just tick 11(L)
3) I didn't submit any proof for absence as my absence was less than 180 for any single year.

1) No other document
2) You just need to tick 11(l)
3) No need to tick any option in 6.3 if your absence < 180 days in any single year

hi,
Congratulations.
You mentioned that you also included your child in the application who was born in UK. Was it your child's first application or did the baby already had dependant visa ?
Is it essential to include the child as well? My baby was born after my tier 1 extension and my ILR is in May. I was thinking to apply ILR for myself and wife and then apply for childs naturalisation.
Thanks.

Hi charismatic_one
This was first application for my baby. I was interested to continue my nationality that is why I didn't registered my baby as British citizen. You can get your ILR and register your baby as British citizen.

This test comprises of two parts and total time is approximately 10 minutes to complete this test. In first part of the test, candidate needs to opt for a topic and write it on topic form and split it into 5 sections. For example , you can pick a topic "Flood management in UK" and split it into 5 parts
1) geographical overview of uk
2) govt initiative
3) society/individual involvement
4) insurance company role to settle the claim for flood victim
5) lesson learnt to tackle flood in future
Examiner will start discussing with candidate on any of the two sub-topic which has been splitted on the topic form.
In the next phase of test, examiner will discuss on any two topic out of the 5 topics mentioned on the Trinity college website for GESE Grade 5.
If candidate is able to communicate properly(don't bother for fluency) then it is easy to clear this test.
