Hi,
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... _04-15.pdf
As per the new form published on today removed the option “A degree taught or researched in English” as part of Knowledge of language and life in the UK.
Only following options are available
SET(O) Version 04/15
Page 16
•An academic qualification deemed by UK NARIC to meet the recognised standard of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or
PhD in the United Kingdom and:
˗UK NARIC has confirmed that the qualification was taught or researched in English; or
˗the qualification was taught or researched in the UK
or a majority English speaking country (other than Canada); OR
▪You are a national of a majority English speaking country
(as in the list at
https://www.gov.uk/english-language
Now Question is it mandatory to obtain UK NARIC letter to prove as English languange requirement as KOLL?

I wrote to Ann Woodall from National Operational Policy, UK Border Agency last week. She confirmed that your original degree certificate, along with a printout of the points calculator showing 10 points for English will be accepted. You should tick "UK NARIC has confirmed... " on the SET(O) form. Also include a note in your cover letter about this. Ann Woodall also confirmed that UK NARIC regularly update the PBS calculator on the website.
Also, the page
https://www.gov.uk/english-language/degrees-in-english was updated on 09 April 2015 and it clearly states the same thing.

Hi
I have the same query. In the new form they have also removed the option for main applicant ' I already proved my English language during initial tier 1'
I had booked appointment before 6th April I.e. In March
But my appointment is on 22nd after 6th April paid old fees.
My dependant has not taken English Test or NARIC certificate as her University was recognised in PBS calculator.
Now new form ask for NARIC comparable certificate.
Could you plead guide what shall I do?
What would happen in worst case screnario?
Please suggest how can we get written confirmation ?
Thanks a lot

I'm not sure how it works for dependents. Why don't you write to SettlementOps? They usually reply within 24-48 hours.
