ILR eligibility for kid born ouside UK

Hi,
I’m a parent currently on a UK skilled worker visa route that leads to ILR, and I’m expecting to become eligible for ILR in April 2026. My child was born outside the UK and is currently on a dependant visa.
I would like to understand:

Does my child also need to complete 5 years in the UK to apply for ILR as my dependant?
Or can I include my child in my ILR application in April 2026, even if they have not completed 5 years in the UK?

What is the immigration status of the other parent?

The child can apply for ilr when the other parent does.

The rules do not allow children to apply for ILR with you if the other parent is not also applying for ILR.

There is no 5 year residence requirment for children. They qualify for ilr when both parents are applying or if the parent who only qualifies later applies.
