there is no written rule in ILR which states that you must pay taxes?

But the HMRC will come to your Ltd for the outstanding tax and if the company doesn't have the cash they come to you for it. And they will come big style with court and bailiffs I promise you. Pay it or you are in BIG trouble. ILR/Naturalisation will be the least of your worries.
Never piss the tax man off.

I'm talking about ILR and Home Office. Has anyone been denied ILR becase he didn't pay tax?
I'm not talking about Tax Man. I know how to deal with them.

I got my ILR recently..one of the documents they asked me was evidence of payment of taxes to HMRC..I provided them with SA i.e self assessment account statements issued by HMRC which sates how much tax i have paid as a self employed..which proves that u r economically active legally
I guess you need to pay your taxes to show HMRC that you are a abiding resident!!
So pay your taxes and get your ILR..
ILR form is self explanatory..if you show your tax returns it makes their job easier to grant rather than refuse your ILR.
The only way you can deal with TAXMAN is by paying taxes on time I afraid..
