Need Help

Post by luckylondon » Sun Oct 26, 2014 2:06 am

Hi, I had a question in Mind....MY Naturalization application is Due around 24th December

1. I want to know after submitting my application through NCS......Can I fly to India the very next Day? or do i need to wait for the application to be received by HO....During this period Christmas Holidays will be going on.

So need to know exactly how much days I need to wait ...so that I can sort my tickets stuff in advance....Don't want to leave till end.

Yes after submitting your application through NCS you can fly to India. I would suggest wait until acknowledgment received from UKBA.

Yes,you can travel the next day or even immediately you
have submitted your application.but it is
advisable to wait for acknowledgement from the home office.because once the home office acknowledged you it then shows they have it on their system.
By then you are sure they have your application. This can take up to 2weeks after the submission.
it is a new covenant

Also - make sure you have been physically present in the UK 5 years before the application is received i.e. you spent the Christmas break in 2009 in the UK. If you fail this requirement, the application will fail.

I'm not sure why people are saying that you should wait for the acknowledgment letter.

Your naturalisation application is completely different to your indefinite visa or any other visa you hold. Since (I'm guessing) you already have ILR and not submitting your original documents by using NCS, you can very well travel the minute after you have submitted your Naturalisation application.
Goodluck.
