English language required for FLR M Extension

My cousin has to apply FLR M extension in July 17. She submitted B1 from Tirnity College at 1st FLR M application in January 2015. Does she need to submit again. I mean she needs to give A2 from UKVI approved Centers again. As from 1st May 2017 FLR M application needs to submit A2.

B1 is sufficient for FLR M extension as its a higher level than the A2 level which comes into force after May 2017
