You will need
- reference of proof of English
- reference of Life in the UK test
- referee declarations
- ILR reference/ a scan of your ILR BRP
- proof of residence (you need to wait until application to have the most updated version of this)

You can open an online application, start going through the details and log in every 10 weeks to keep the data.
All advice comes from personal research and experience and should not be regarded as professional opinion.

You've got ILR you are free to organise your life as you wish.

Employment is not a requirement, earnings, taxes, benefits are not examined. On it's own your GCR is not affected by this.
If you haven't paid taxes you are due to pay (including council tax) or claimed benefits you are not entitled to that might count against you. Apart from other issues such a crimes committed, court sentences, immigration crimes, etc.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Dear Mods and Experts,

I got my ILR on 2nd week of october 2024, when exaclty i can apply for my naturalisation

Im a director of the company and not paying salary for my selfyet and not filing any personal income tax, is it a requirement to apply for British citizenship to show the sound financial back ground ?

Is the below document sufficent or do I need to add anything more

1) Two referees
2) LIUK and Language requirment ( both requirement satisfied during ILR )

Naturalisation isn’t an immigration application.

No need to show your financial soundness. If you are registered for self- assessment it is a good idea to send in your most recent SA302 and full tax return.
You need to send in your scanned passport for residence too as well as proof of your ILR.
You will be eligible to apply on the anniversary of your ILR grant in October 2025.

I already advised you on docs needed

You will need
- reference of proof of English
- reference of Life in the UK test
- referee declarations
- ILR reference/ a scan of your ILR BRP
- proof of residence (you need to wait until application to have the most updated version of this)

You can open an online application, start going through the details and log in every 10 weeks to keep the data.

However as you had received a deportation order I would wait to apply until the 10 year anniversary of the grant of your visa after the deportation order with a reflection of how your character has changed.

I really appreaciate it

I did not get deportation order, i was deported from airport in 2010, afer that for all the application i made, i declared about my deportation and also I got my ILR after declaring it

- proof of residence

If i apply now and in the worst case scenario, if they refuse can i reapply , it will not have any impact on my ILR right ?

Also Im currently waiting for ILR for my wife and Son, after they get ILR, hope my case will not impact them right

Kindly advise

You will be able to reapply if your application is refused and it will bear no adverse effect on other family members. You need your passport stamped for the last 5 years as proof of residence.

Use your current address. Or a future address you are moving to shortly.
Note that all correspondence is now via email
The address your GP hold is irrelevant for the application.
