Subcontracting Work on a Global Talent Visa

Post by El3oss » Thu Feb 13, 2025 8:57 pm

Hi everyone,

I would like to enquire about the possibility of taking on some extra work as a subcontractor alongside my full-time employment while on a Global Talent Visa. The additional work would be consultancy-based and last for five months.

1. Will taking on this subcontracting work cause any issues with the Home Office?

2. If there are no issues, can I carry out this work without setting up a company and simply invoice the company for my services?

3. Since my full-time job is on PAYE, when would I need to complete a self-assessment for this additional income?

I’d really appreciate any insights from those with experience in this area.

Thanks in advance!

As far as I know there is no restriction on second employment for GTV holders.

SA is tax related not immigration.
