ILR application - "Absences from the UK"

Post by Tee-Bee » Mon Feb 09, 2009 7:14 pm

Hi all,

I am planning to apply for ILR after 5 years via a UK Work permit.

Here's my situation, I am employed by the same I.T consultancy (no job hoping about). However, part of my job involves working abroad - I have had several secondments in the EU for business and have stayed in blocks of up to 3 months, sometimes up to 6-7 months in a year.

In total, I would say about 800 days outside the UK. That includes annual paid leave and the secondment. My company can provide the relevant letter to back-up my claims and along with the relevant pay slips, P-60s, etc.

Having examined the Set (O) application form and http://www.ahooi.co.uk/post/45958347/ho ... ide-the-uk

- I would like to know whether this could jeopardise my chances of obtaining an ILR ?

Thanks for your time.
