Employer sponsor ILR?

Gurus/Experts, quick (maybe senseless) question..

I realise ILR is an individual's document to stay in UK and hence makes sense to pay for themselves. But is there anybody who has been sponsored by the Employer?

I understand it depends on how good the relation between the individual and the company is but wondering if anybody has had such a case.

What do you mean by 'sponored' . Do you mean they pay for it? Sponsoring is indirect, I think...as the ILR approvers check if the person is employed or not. Officially no employer can sponsor as is evident from the fact there is no such page in the application form.

If your company is willingly and un-conditionally paying you for your ILR then what's the issue ? To HO/CW it doesn't make any difference who is paying for your application .
