I got my Electrical Engineering Degree from the following university. This University is present in the NARIC & HSMP Team Database as they awarded me 35 points for the same
NAME:- NWFP UNIVERSITY OF ENGINEERING 7 TECHNOLOGY
LOCATION: PESHAWAR
COUNTRY: PAKISTAN
I'm much confused about how to score 10 points of the English Language Test. They should have given me the 10 points of English Language, but their rules are too confusing. At one hand they give me 35 points for my bachelors degree, but on the other hand aren't giving me the 10 points for the english language.
Can anyone please guide me what to do? It seems silly to contact my University & ask for a letter from them confirming that the academics are taught in university. Moreover, I've submitted my old IELTS Test Report to the HSMP Team with my initial case in October, 2006, but at that time it wasn't their requirement. Moreover, I haven't got any copy of my old IELTS Test report form to show that I've got earlier gor 7.0 score in all the 4 scoring points.
KINDLY HELP ME & GUIDE ME IN WHAT TO DO? Naturaly I don't want to appear again as this is a totally waste of money. CAN SOMEBODY HELP/ GUIDE ME???

As for as I know, there are two ways to get 10 points for English...
1- Get 6.5 Bands in Ielts
or if you have 4 years bachelor degree then...
Get a letter from university stating ur 4 yrs degree was taught in English
thx

Hi,
You may apply under Tier-1 application, if you have not done so.
Tier-1 regulations also consider Academic Master's degree for English language while HSMP rules strictly mention that it must be bachelor's degree, not above or below.

Hi,
BIA still has category for Section A and Section B type of examinations e.g. from Indian institute of Engineers.
To be on safer side you may get letter from NARIC.
They do recognize this equivalent to Bachelor's degree and you can claim 30 points for qualification.

Don't think you have read through the guidance notes (HSMP or Tier 1, whichever you are applying) otherwise you would have known if you need qualification verification or not, and if so, from where to get it done. So suggest that you do that first thing.

Vijay,
I think you will get 30 points for MBA Szabist which is equivalent to UK Bachelor's degree. Worth having a evaluation from NARIC.

Assuming you are applying for Tier 1 from UK/India. The answer is in the guidance notes ... very clear. You could also use the self-assessment tool to figure out if you meet the english language requirements by virtue of your qualification(s) ? That's mentioned in the guidance notes too !!
If applying for HSMP, follow procedure as explained in the HSMP guidance notes.
Read the guidance notes

Check NARIC wesbite (c'mon now don't ask for the site address in your next post ..... do some groundwork on your own too

).

No. They only tell you the equivalency of your qualifications as per UK standards.
Read the HSMP guidelines / Tier 1 guidelines (as the case maybe) for documentary evidence of English Language requirements.

Use the
Tier 1 self-assessment tool to find out. Even if you are applying for HSMP (and not Tier 1), you cans till use this tool to your advantage (get answers to your queries). The self-assessment will help you assess your qualifications points and whether your qualification(s) meet the english language requirements or not.
Based on the results you get, you can plan your course of action.
