Hi All, what are the requirements for a child of an Irish citizen ,to get Irish citizenship? I claimed Irish citizenship after my child was born( FBR ).Can my child Obtain any type of visa to live & work in Ireland, leading to citizenship through me?
Or are they basically out of luck?

How did you get citizenship? Were you entitled to it by decent , birth in Ireland or naturalisation?
I know you said you "claimed" Irish Citizenship after the child was born, but you might have being entitled to it (but did nothing) before child was born
If the first two, then technically your child is Irish, provided registered
If the latter, yes you can apply on the child's (under 1 behalf for citizenship (Normally takes about 6 months) if the child lived here for 5 years
