ILR queries

Dear All,

I have tried checking this query on forums but no one had the same confusion like this.

I have a query in the below question as I was first entered in UK as a student in Sept 2005 and then got my first WP1 in Nov 2007, got my second WP2 in Oct 2008 upon changing an employment and received my Tier-1 in MAY 2009 (under the regulation place before 31 April 2009).
my query is what date I should write in the question asked below:
''When did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK? This
refers to the date of your first entry into the UK at the beginning of
the period of stay on which this application is based." (Section 6 - question 6.1).

Need expertise advice please!!

The answer is in the guidance. If you read section 5 it says:

There is a qualifying period to complete in most of the
categories on this form. It runs either from
- the date on which you entered the UK with a visa
in the relevant category; or, if you did not enter the
UK with such a visa, from
- the date on which you were first granted permission
to remain in the UK in the relevant category.

The section you mentioned dose not explain anything about the error, please read my post again. there is an error on page 7 and this form is the current version on HO site.

If your total absences in the qualifying period are less than 180 and you have no single absence of 90 days or more, you don't need to provide a letter from past / present employers certifying leaves.
