On which week day did HO send your in UK appl. result?

Please vote if you have applied for Tier 1(General) by post within the UK and please select the day on which HO have posted your documents back (not the day you have received them).

Hi Myegin,

The poll should be really about on which day did the HO post the documents, because the say on which you recieve the documents totally depends on the method you have used to get the documents, for example:

1) Nothing. In which case the HO sends it by recorded delivery which may take anything from 3-5 days.
2) Self-addressed Royal Mail special delivery envelope. In which case in most cases you should get in on the next day.
3) Any other method like prepaid courier or something.

Can you please accordingly rename the poll, so we can get the results we need?

Thanks for the initiative for creating a new poll!!

I think it should be sticky and we should make it clear that it is for users who have applied within United Kingdom.

I think if you change question to "Which week" instead of which day..you have have better trend.

This poll was based on another thread where innocentdevil tells about week days UKBA posts the documents back.

"What week" might be another poll question though.

yep me neither, this poll is actually for people who have their extensions approved, and would help people like me, ID and nm who are waiting on their decisions.

So I would like to request members in the former category to please take some time out to vote in the poll, as this would help innumerous prospective applicants as well.

infact i feel there should be a poll on no. of average days or somethng like after how many weeks someone got their documents back something which is more precise than on wht day he/she received their documents

Well Duvvuri, this is exactly the kind of information Trackitt provides. We wanted to create a poll something more subtle but more useful when you are waiting for your decision.

I admit, it makes more sense to have the poll for the total number of working days taken to process the application, but why re-invent the wheel? :)

I have just come across a thread mentioning this website. I do not know if giving the web address here is permitted. I can delete the link if not. You can use that one, it seems a neat website with good tracking information.

Thanks myegin11
But most of us in this forum are much aware of the site u mentioned.
Not everyone put their status in tht so its nt much useful to track something.
Yeah bt it gives a rough idea as to how many days it takes. But again it varies from case to case and depends on luck factor too.

Using Trackitt data, I did some calculations (yes, I have some free time :)) about on which day question.

Based on paperwork received date over 521 applications where this information was supplied,

Monday - 39 - 7.49%
Tuesday - 97 - 18.62%
Wednesday - 108 - 20.73%
Thursday - 95 - 18.23%
Friday - 98 - 18.81%
Saturday - 77 - 14.78%
Sunday - 7 - 1.34%

Based on approval/denial date over 555 applications where this information was supplied,

Monday - 109 - 19.64%
Tuesday - 105 - 18.92%
Wednesday - 100 - 18.02%
Thursday - 112 - 20.18%
Friday - 100 - 18.02%
Saturday - 22 - 3.96%
Sunday - 7 - 1.26%

Well, of course the the reliability of the numbers depend on the correctness of the information provided by the Trackitt members.

And I leave the analysis to the readers of this message :)

Thanks for your toil on getting these numbers myegin, you do have a lot of time :) .

However, we are still in the dark about when the HO actually posts the documents, so I guess we need more people to vote on this poll.

Got my documents today by special delivery and the visa was stamped on the 2nd, so I assume they must have sent it yesterday. Updating the poll with my vote.

Got my documents today by special delivery and the visa was stamped on the 24th nov, so that means they sent on 24th itself and received on 25th nov by special delivery.
Updating the poll with my vote.
