You cannot delete your account. You can just leave and don't have to access your account again.
Guess you have received all the answers you were looking for, and now that you have them (answers), you have deleted your posts .. without giving a thought that a public forum exists so that "everyone" can benefit from the information available.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!

Unfortunately you are forgetting that a reason why a user might also want to leave the site is that they do not get information and that the forum has not helped them at all, or may be because it turns out that some of the users giving out advise here are even worse than judges, discouraging people from certain actions and taking risks, which even judges may be prepared to accept.
It is rather shocking that the website does not allow users to delete their account.
Even Facebook allows users to quit.
It's a very inequal relationship, and you are behaving like the fromer GDR which did not allow its citizens to leave the country when they wished so.
If you had an interest in being transparent and equal, at least you should give this information right from the beginning, that it will not be possible later to delete a profiles.

Hi, I'm new and want to delete my one and only post, but I am able to contact a moderator/administrator as 'I need to participate more' before I can do a PM. Pls could a moderator/administrator remove my post as I prefer to just do a bit of 'silent reading' before I post again...thanks.

Posts will not be deleted unless for exceptional circumstances. Your account can be deleted but it not really worth doing as it'll only prevent you from posting again.

I'd be very wary of refusing people the ability to delete their posts in light of last month's Court of Justice of the European Communities judgement linked to below regarding the right 'to be forgotten' and on line privacy. It's potentially opened up a can of proverbial worms.

Think that's to do with identifiable data is it not? We do not to allow people to personally identify their data on here, hence we always remove names, addresses, dobs and telephone numbers when people post them.

It's much broader than that and way open to interpretation.
Article 2 of Directive 95/46 states that ‘[f]or the purposes of this Directive:
(a) “personal data” shall mean any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“data subject”); an identifiable person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identification number or to one or more factors specific to his physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural or social identity;

Hi
As you don't delete accounts can you please change my username as it too personal. And didn't realise till date that the login name will be shown on posts instead of some avatar name.
So kindly change my username as I cannot change it.
Please change it to something like skumar123 or satya123

You won't, because you will no longer have access to the forum
(Casa, not CR001)
Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
