Absence Days Calculation

Hello all,

I have a query on how Home Office calculates absence days from the UK.

Do we know if they include the end date/s in their calculation?

For e.g. Days between 2nd January 2022 and 15 March 2022 are 73 days(including the end date i.e.15th March)

or

72 (without counting the end date)

Would they consider 73 or 72 from the above scenario?

PS: 15th March 2022 is the date to return to the UK(as per the immigration stamp on the Passport).

The date of departure and the date of return are NOT included. Only WHOLE days out of the UK are counted as absence.
