Applying for undefined CoS

Post by jax_jab » Sat Feb 11, 2023 11:13 am

hi i am creating a new topic as per forum masters..

if someone could forward the procedure for applying for undefined CoS. As my employer ended up applying for defined CoS while me being in the UK.

does my employer need to apply for allocation increase (by x1) to start with? As when my employer goes for 'create and assign' section then it ends up with error message that 'no CoS available' ...
Also, within 'create and assign' section there are several applications' drafts with 'ready to go' etc status.. do these need to be deleted in order to make a fresh application..

please advise.. I hope he does not lose interest and gets fed up.. !!!
thanks

Is the undefined CoS required for the extension of your Skilled Worker permission?

Your licenced sponsor should know the procedure and shouldn't be asking you.

If they don't have an undefined CoS allocation available, they have to apply for one

The process is described in SMS Manual 2, Guide 7
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... PBS845.pdf

It involves the Level 1 user Logging in to the SMS, then From the “Licence summary, applications and services” screen, selecting “Request CoS/CAS allocation increase”. On the “Request additional CoS or CAS” screen, choose “Add a request” next to the skilled worker route. They will then be asked how many allocations are being requesting and the reason.

Getting the allocation can take up to 18 weeks but there is a 5 working day priority service, cost £200:
