Spouse Visa Extension

Post by mshakeel2002 » Mon Apr 07, 2025 9:57 pm

I am British and i need to apply for my wife`s Spouse visa Extention... She had her entry clearance arround 2 years ago and now its time for Extenstion for another 2 or 2.5 years... while filling out the form i am encountering confusions with 3-4 questions since these questions have both Yes and No answer and im not sure what i should put in... My wife is from Pakistan.

1) Are there any factors which would make it difficult or impossible for you to integrate and establish a private life in that country?(Pakistan)

I put YES

2) Is this the first time you have applied for a partner route, or an extension, with your current partner (including as a fiancé(e) or proposed civil partner)?

I put NO (Although i am applying for extension first time)

3) If you left the UK, do you and your children have family or friends in the country you would return to?

I put YES (Her parents live in Pakistan, but i also mentioned they cannot afford to lookafter her)

4) Could you and your partner live together outside the UK if necessary?

I put YES
.......................................
My annual salary is 14500 and my wife`s anuual salary is 12500, we receive monthly salary end of every month, no over time or bonus or commition... since she was granted spouse visa first time in 2022, threshold applicable is £18600.

my question is in financial section when it asks for employment details of me and my wife. it gives 4 options...
if i select: The same amount continuously, above the financial requirement amount >>> it asks me to submit 6 months wage slips.
and if i select The same amount continuously, below the financial requirement amount >>> it asks me to submit 12 month wage slips and also asks me if i want to add another previous 6 months employment...

I selected >> (The same amount continuously, above the financial requirement amount)... Am i correct in choosing so because when salaries are combined then its above the financial requirements but individually is below and it asks each of us individually.... although i am relying upon combined income.

Please advise... since submittion date is very close.. thanks

I put NO (Although i am applying for extension first time) It should be YES, this is your first extension. Except she previously came on a fiancée visa, or was on the 10 year route making it a 2nd, 3rd or 4th extension.

Thanks... but what about the main confusion.... "above the financial requirement amount" or Below the financial requirement which one is correct?.... when filling out form first it takes details from me and aska me this above and below question.... then it does same wth my sopouse... but no where it if you are combining the salaries or not...if combining hence it is "above the financial requirement amount"... very confusing

If both combined has been above the threshold for over 6 months, then your answer is YES.

Example: 14k + 13K = 27K From Jan to July

Are you a director or non-executive director of a limited company based in the UK?

Post by mshakeel2002 » Fri Apr 11, 2025 7:57 am

Me and my partner who is british, we are showing our combined income to meet the threshhold.... we are both employed in a company and showing 6 months payslips... we are both NOT directors in these companies where we are getting salary and showing to home office....
on other hand my partner has a limited company and he is director in that company. when filling application we came accross question..
"Are you a director or non-executive director of a limited company based in the UK?" to be replied in yes or no...

So should i put YES or NO... whereas my partner is not showing or relying on income from that company.

PLEASE ADVISE I DONT HAVE MUCH TIME LEFT.
