Is Barclays "Certified true copy " stamp acceptabl

Post by globetrotter_ks » Wed Feb 15, 2012 10:15 am

I went to the barclays bank and this is what they stamped for me is it ok???

certified a true copy of the original exhibited to me -( sign -date) For and behalf of barclays bank plc

This stamp doesnot have bank sort code or branch name, nor name of person signing. Someone told me its not valid as this stamp means that u have showed him the original copy and he has stamped the duplicate ones. Because home office will question that if u had original copies why did not u submit them plus home office does not know who has signed it. Am confused now as different branches of same bank follow different rules and procedures. pls help

Is the stamp with bank sort code acceptable ?? Or has to be a certified true copy stamp ?? . Does it needs to be signed as many of them at Barclays don't sign
