Booking appointment

How long does it take UKVI to confirm if i can make booking from IDV app or not?

I have been waiting for almost 5 working days, still i cannot book appointment? Every time they bring new system it is mess. It used to be 5 minutes to book an appointment.

Appreciate if somebody can share their experience.

I applied on Mon 23rd May, and received an email confirming I need to book an appointment on Tue 31st May. If you count the day of application as day 0, I received a response on the 6th day working day. Looking at the timelines thread, most people seem to be receiving a response between day 5-7 these days. Look out for an email from no-reply@mail.ukvcas.co.uk.

I got a response on day 8 (working days). Hang in there, it’ll come.

Now i got UK home office email saying i have not attend biometric appointment, whereas we use IDV app based on appointment booking page instruction. In IDV app we had face selfie taken, pp copy uploaded and other relevant documents.

I guess all of have same issue.

Premium confusing.

Do we have to do biometric appointment separate?

In my understanding, taking selfie picture in IDV app was enough for biometric?
