Citizenship certificate reference number

Hi All,

Thanks for all the support so far . It been a great journey together

I am applying for Citizenship but stuck in " Partner's citizenship certificate reference number " . The thing is my partner got her Citizenship by naturalization very long back around 2015 . The Certificate which received at the time was already deposited and hence my partner got Citizenship . Can someone please guide from where can i get the partners reference number after all these years, Can I use partners password number in the reference field

Not sure what you mean by "deposited". It is lost?
Your partner should obtain an official copy as the certificate is the only document that confers citizenship: https://www.gov.uk/get-replacement-citi ... ertificate. I don't think you can just enter the passport number in the field.

Yes - that's the fee - perhaps you have another search for the certificate?
Are you not able to apply under the five year route,i.e. not as spouse of a British citizen? That wouldn't require a certificate.

Thats too much of money to spend . If another route then which route can it be . I am on ILR currently and full time working

Just a question . Isn't it the same certificate needs to be given to passport office to get first passport . Do they return the certificate back ?

They do return the certificate. It is the certificate that is official evidence and confirmation of you citizenship and should always be kept safe. A British passport is just a travel document.
