Consent letter (MN1 form)

Dear experts,
For children born in UK, as part of documentation, have to submit consent form.
Does consent letter should be addressed to HomeOffice confirming each parent consent to register their child..

1. Both parents together to give consent in the same letter?
OR
2. Each parent has to give seperate letter confirming they are happy for their child to register?

Letters to be addressed to HomeOffice?
If anyone already have any template, can you please share it for reference.

You can download the Consent letter at the end of the application then both parents can sign on that.

I was not aware of this. So, we get to download the letter once we submit the form?

You won't get any consent letter to download, just write your own and sign it in same or separate letters.

I have applied for my SON MN1 Application in Feb 2019 and I can confirm that at the end of the application after payment we have downloaded the form, Kindly see the attachment from my application. I'm unable to attached the form as that is in .pdf

Thats strange, I applied for my son in April but I did not get one for download but they asked in document section. Therefore I wrote it myself.

I've just login to my Son application now and download it again

After submitting form, i did not get any link to download consent letters.

Not sure what is different.

I am not able to see attachment from your side. Not sure why..

It should appear at the Further actions tabs when you login to your application
TABS are appearing in following order for me
1. Start
2. Application
3. Documents
4. Declaration
5. Pay
6. Further actions

Did you paid the fees and booked an appointment?

Yes, I have seen that TAB, I have paid the fees and also booked the appoinement.

Under Further actions - current step
1.Mandatory actions
-> Download and sign the referee declaration form for both referees
-> Attend an appointment to provide your documents and biometrics

2. Optional actions
-> Download your supporting documents checklist
-> Download a copy of your application form

This is all I can see from my login.
I am not sure if I am doing any mistakes or things have changed recently.

In my case Download consent Form was just under the Download Decalarion form in Mandatory actions section, Don't know why its not available for you, may be they have changed it recently,
I've attached the template in my previous post , so you check and write the same. or search the forum you will get one.

Hi All - can anyone share the template for the Parent Consent form when applying for a child's UK citizenship? Apparently, even I did not get an option to download the form at the end of the application. But, it seems to be a document that is needed. Thanks, Anurag

I'm writing to you because I did the Application form for a British Citizenship

When I download the document checklist it's asking for a letter of consent from of parents which say that we are agree to let her apply for a British Citizenship and the further actions on the application give us the option to download this consent.

Where I can find it?

When I applied for myself and children in august 2019 , there was no consent letter template to download. I wrote it myself using templates as those posted above. I used one letter for each child with both parents mentioned on the same page and signing. I stated names, nationality, birth dates, and address of each parent).
Our application was approved in about 2 months.
