Cover letter or other supporting documents

Post by 8129346 » Tue Nov 16, 2021 1:03 am

Dear all

After submitting the form is there a field to upload a cover letter or any additional documents other than required supporting documents? If yes, is there an example cover letter?

Thanks in advance

There is no requirement for a cover letter - of course you can attach one if you wish to explain anything in more detail and load with your documents - there are no templates as none is required. The document requirements for naturalisation are minimal, again if you wish to send more you are free to do so.

each Covering letter is unique to its case!

You have to write your covering letter specific to what you are trying to 'cover'.

Apart from the header and the footer of the letter, each covering letter is almost unique.

Cover letter

Post by 8129346 » Thu Nov 18, 2021 11:48 pm

Dear all,

Could you please inform me on where to submit/upload/send my cover letter? Do I need to bring the letter to biometric appointment? I wanted to ask this because I am about to make the payment and I haven't seen the cover letter to be in the documents to bring the appointment.

Thanks

To add a more in depth details to the above comment:

When you made the payment, you will be provided with some important information including a link to book your biometrics via UKVCAS website.

When you first visit the UKVCAS website, you will be asked to signup. Once you sign up, you will be given the option to book your Biometrics appointment (paid or free).

If you choose the paid version, you can take your documents/letter with you to your appointment and they will check/scan/upload everything for you.

If you choose the free version, you have to upload all your documents on the UKVCAS website yourself.

There are different categories to upload your files. for example, there's a category called 'Other' and that's where you upload your Covering Letter.

Make sure to rename the files properly before uploading so the caseworker can find them easily. e.g. your covering letter should be called covering_letter.pdf
